Seamus Power
West Waterford's Seamus Power has made an excellent start to his bid to get on the PGA Tour ladder via the Web.com Q-School.
The former Irish international opened with a three-under par 68 in the Second Stage of the Q-School at Plantation Preserve Golf Course & Club in Florida and shares fourth place at a venue where around 18 player will win spots at the Final Stage at PGA National in Florida from December 11-16.
If he comes through this 72-hole test, Power will be guaranteed some status on the US Tour's second tier circuit in 2015 and the chance to win card on the megabucks PGA Tour.
The 27-year old is tied for fourth at his Second Stage venue, three shots adrift of leader Ben Kohles.
Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, he's had a great season on the eGolf Professional Tour, topping the money list with $78,154 from 15 starts.
