Irish quiet as Madsen produces spectacular Pretoria finish
Ireland's trio of contenders ended the day with work to do to make the cut but there were no such problems for Dane Morten Ørum Madsen as he aced his 17th hole and then eagled the last to lead the Tshwane Open in Pretoria.

Simon Thornton finished tied 59th behind Denmark’s Morten Ørum Madsen in the South African Open and headed for Leopard Creek where he will be joined by Q-School graduate Kevin Phelan in next week’s Alfred Dunhill Championship.
