Dunne and Kearney make 36-hole cut at Asian Tour Q-School

Paul Dunne and Niall Kearney made the 36-hole cut but left themselves work to do to win cards at the final stage of the Asian Tour Q-School in Thailand.
Only the top 35 after five rounds at Lake View Resort and Golf Club will win playing rights for 2025.
But Dunne finds himself one stroke outside the top 35 on three-under after carding a level par 71 in round two with Kearney scraping through the 36-hole cut on the two-over limit after a 73.
Dunne began on the C nine at the Hua Hin venue and dropped shots at the fifth and sixth to slip back to one-under overall.
He bounced back quickly with birdies at the eighth and ninth but finished with nine straight pars on the D nine, ending the day tied for 46th on three-under.
He’s just a shot outside the top 35 and eight strokes behind Australia’s Jack Thompson, who shot a five-under 66 to lead by a shot on 11-under from Korean Kyungnam Kang and Doyeob Mun.
Kearney made two birdies and three bogeys in his first eight holes on the B nine at Lake View before dropping another shot on the A nine en route to his 73.
The Royal Dublin man is tied for 129th on two-over, six shots outside the top 35.
Only the top 70 and ties after 72 holes who will qualify for the fifth and final round battle for exactly 35 cards on Saturday.
