Kearney leads Irish in Shrewsbury

Niall Kearney is the best of the Irish but still seven shots behind James Maw in the EuroProTour’s Cobra Puma Golf Championship at Hawkstone Park near Shrewsbury.
The Dubliner shot a two under par 69 to share 23rd place on a day when Maw made an eagle two and seven birdies in a nine under 62.
Delgany’s Simon Bryan and Clandeboye’s Jonny Caldwell signed for level par 71s with Stephen Grant (72) and Tim Rice (75) completing the Irish scoring.
