Bridges hits route 66 in Austria

Stackstown's Richard Bridges eagled the 18th to open with a bogey free 66 in the EPD Tour's stop at St Pölten in Austria.
The Dubliner is tied for sixth place at the north-east Austrian track on five under par, three strokes behind Nicolas Thommen of Switzerland.
Thommen shot an eight under 63 to lead by a stroke from Germany's Max Eichmeier with Lucan's Richard O'Donovan tied for 20th after a three under 68.
"Played solid, a couple of tweaks on the range yesterday helped.," Bridges told his Facebook followers. "Long may it continue!!"
Headfort's Rory McNamara had an eagle three, a birdie, a bogey and a double bogey to share 71st after a level par 71 while Ciaran Boggan's four over 75 left him tied 114th.
