Bolger set to defend PGA Irish Club Professionals' title at Dunmurry Springs

Over 70 of Ireland's best club professional golfers will converge on Dunmurry Springs next Tuesday and Wednesday for the PGA Irish Club Professional Championship.
A Mel Flanagan design located two miles from Kildare town and 30 minutes from the M50 Red Cow, Dunmurry Springs opened in 2006 and has become a popular society venue.
There are weekly open competitions for visitors and it is highly regarded as one of the ‘hidden gems’ in the area.
Seán Ó Gallchóir, Golf Sales manager at Dunmurry Springs said: “We are absolutely delighted to host the 2016 Irish PGA Club Professional Tournament. The event in 2015 was a huge success and we are delighted that the PGA and the professional golfers are returning here next week.”
Ó Gallchóir added: “It is great to see the likes of Damian Mooney, Damien McGrane, David Higgins, Colm Moriarty, Noel Murray, the 2015 winner Jimmy Bolger, Tim Rice, Eamonn Brady, Daniel Beattie and many more top class professional golfers playing in this event.
“We feel Dunmurry Springs offers a great test of golf from the championship tees for these players.”
On winning last year, Kilkenny professional Bolger said: “’We as professional players are lucky enough to putt on some good greens, but I don’t think there are any greens in the country as good as Dunmurry Springs today.”
Spectators are welcome on both days and admission is free.
