Europro Tour returns to Concra Wood
The Europro Tour has confirmed that the Kingspan Concra Wood Open will return to the stunning Castleblayney venue from July 22-July 26.
The inaugural event, won by Englishman Billy Hemstock, was hailed as a huge success and further cemented the growing reputation of the Christy O’Connor Jnr designed course.
“I am honored to have been the inaugural winner of the Kingspan Concra Wood Open in 2012,” said Hemstock. “The sponsors, the people and the world class golf venue that is Concra Wood made this tournament the highlight event on the PGA Europro Tour calendar in 2012.
“I am delighted that the tour is returning to Concra Wood in 2013 where I look forward to defending my title.”
The €45,000 Kingspan Concra Wood Open will be the only Europro Tour event staged in Ireland this year.

Concra Wood opened in July 2008 and has quickly gained a very strong reputation. The course is blessed with stunning views of Lough Muckno from every point on the course and is located only one hour from Belfast and Dublin.
The golf course at Concra Wood was designed by two of Ireland’s golfing legends, Christy O’Connor Junior and Senior.
Measuring over 7300 yards, European Tour player, Simon Thornton, holds the course record, a 68 set in 2010 at an Irish PGA Sprint event.
