Owens and Campbell make mixed start to EPD season

Former South of Ireland champions Mark Campbell and Mervyn Owens made a mixed start to the EPD Tour season in Turkey.

Mallow star Owens followed a missed cut in the SUENO Pines Classic with a share of 16th place in the SUENO Dunes Classic and a tie for tenth in the LYKIA Links Classic.

The Munster man earned €1,157 to lie 25th in the Order of Merit after the first three events of the season with Campbell ranked 41st.

Dubliner Campbell began his 2009 campaign with back-to-back missed cuts before rounds of 75, 75 and 76 earned him a share of 21st place in the Lykia Links Classic.
