LIV Golf League reveals partial 2024 schedule
Brooks Koepka’s online trolling of the LIV Golf League appears to have paid off after the breakaway circuit released most of its 2024 schedule this afternoon.
Backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, the circuit revealed details of its first 12 events though venues for the tournaments in Saudi Arabia in March and the US in April “will be unveiled soon.”
There are no details either of where the final two events of the season will be played.
There are stops in eight countries, starting with the Mayakoba event at El Camaleón in Mexico from February 2-4
There’s also a new venue in Phoenix with Las Vegas Country Club to host and event during Super Bowl week from February 8-10.
The arrival of the schedule, albeit with gaps, will have pleased Koepka, who sounded frustrated by the lack of news on the 2024 schedule when he posted on LIV Golf’s Instagram feed over the weekend.
The five-time major champ and former World No. 1 went to Instagram twice to express his frustration.
After LIV Golf posted a mock Instagram DM inbox with the caption, “Who’s DM are you replying to?”, Koepka commented, “The DM with the schedule for next year would be nice.”
He later deleted the comment but then commented again on another post the following day, remarking: “We don’t know what course cause we haven’t seen the schedule.
