Maguire and Meadow lurking in Florida
Leona Maguire and Stephanie Meadow are on track to pick up another healthy cheque in this week's IOA Golf Classic in Florida.
Maguire shot a four-under 67 in the second round and is tied for 19th, six shots behind leader Dana Finkelstein on five-under par at Longwood Golf Club.
With the final counting Tour Championship to come next week, she's hoping to make a move from 35th in the money list into the top 30 who will be exempt for the new, two-event Q-Series, which replaces the final stage of Q-School.
The Slieve Russell star is just $3,350 shy of 30th place but $23,911 outside the top 10 who will be awarded LPGA Tour cards after the Tour Championship.
Defending champion Meadow, who is fourth in the Volvik Race for the Card standings and well placed to regain her LPGA Tour card, lies tied for 28th on four-under after a pair of 69s.
