Curley hangs tough in Colombia
Newlands' Cian Curley shot a three-over 74 for the third day running to share 46th with one round to play in the PGA Tour Latinoamérica Qualifying Tournament in Colombia.
The Dubliner is just two shots away from earning conditional status for the players finishing from 12th to 36th in what is one of four PLTA Qualifying Tournaments.
England's Charlie Bull shot a two-under 69 at Club Los Lagartos in Bogotá to retain his three-shot lead in an event where the winner is exempt for the entire 2018 season and not subject to the reshuffle.
The next 10 finishers — currently one-under par or better — will receive exempt status for the first half of the 2018 season and will be subject to the reshuffle for the second half of the season.
The remaining 24 players and anyone tied for the last qualifying position (seven-over), will receive conditional status and will be eligible for the reshuffle.
Curley is just two shots outside that mark after he made three birdies and six bogeys in his 74, coming home in level par after a three-over outward half on Club Los Lagartos' back nine.
