Griffin claims Connacht Strokeplay by two shots

Waterford's Eanna Griffin got his reward for his hard work with a two-stroke win in the Connacht Strokeplay Championship at Athlone.
Three strokes behind Lahinch's Jonathan Keane on 147 at halfway, Griffin fired a one-under par 71 in round three, then closed with a 77 in difficult conditions to win by two shots from Keane and Tuam's Ross Kelly on seven-over par 295.
"Nice to finally get another win in the bag," Griffin said after his win. Delighted to win the Connacht Stroke Play."
