Annabel Wilson tied third at Helen Holm; four shots back
Lurgan’s Annabel Wilson is just four shots behind Sweden’s Linn Grant heading into Sunday’s final round of the Helen Holm Scottish Women’s Open Championship at Royal Troon.
The 15-year old, fresh from her victory in the Cartier Trophy in Paris last week, made an eagle and six birdies in a four-under 68 at Troon’s Portland Course to get to three under par 141.
She shares third place behind Grant, who added a 66 to her opening 71 to lead by two shots from Scotland’s Shannon McWilliam on seven-under 137 ahead of Sunday’s final round on the Old Course at Royal Troon.
Castletroy and UCD’s Chloe Ryan is 11th on level par after a pair of 72s with Paula Grant (148), Mairead Martin (150), Valerie Clancy (151), Ciara Casey (151) and Sinead Sexton (152) also making the cut for the top 66 which fell at 10-over 154.
Former winner Danielle McVeigh (156), Jessica Ross (156), Louise Coffey (158), Maria Dunne (159) and Mary Doyle (163) all missed the 36-hole cut.
