Graeme McDowell is nine shots behind Jason Dufner entering the final round of the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head.
The Portrush man made three birdies in a two-under 69 at Harbour Town Golf Links to move up 16 places to tied 31st on four-under-par.
Dufner shot a six under par 65 to lead by a shot from Graham DeLaet (69) on 13-under par with Shane Lowry back in 43rd on two-under after a 69.
Lowry made five birdies as he went out in four-under-par 32, then birdied the 10th to go five-under for the day before he double bogeyed the par-three 14th after finding water with his tee shot, then dropped another shot at the par-three 17th.
