Lurgan's Annabel Wilson is nine strokes behind England's Annabell Fuller heading into Friday's final round of the Telegraph Vitality Junior Golf Championship at Quinta do Lago
The Irish international, undone by a triple bogey eight at the sevemth, added a 79 to her opening 75 on the slick Algarve greens to sit alone in fourth place on 10-over par.
Junior Vagliano player Fuller, 15, opened up a four-shot lead in the girls' event when she followed her 71 with a two-over par 74 to head Lily May Humphreys on one-over-par with Charlotte Heath, the overnight leader, third on seven-over after an 81.
Max Hopkins, 14, will aim to become the youngest ever boys' winner after rounds of 71 and 72 gave him a share of the lead with Alfie Fox on one-under par.
