Limerick’s Pat Murray didn't just win the Connacht Mid-Amateur Championship for the second time in three years, he crushed the opposition by a massive 14 shots at Westport.

Winner of the Munster title for the fourth time recently, the former international carded rounds of 68, 70 and 70 on the testing, par-73 Championship course in Co Mayo to finish on 11 under par 208.
New Forest’s Des Morgan was second on three over 222 with Enniscrone’s Derek Basquill a distant third on six over 225 alongside Co Sligo’s Shane Underwood.
