PGA in Ireland signs two-year deal with Elavon
The PGA in Ireland has signed a two-year sponsorship deal with global payments provider Elavon which will see the company become the title sponsor of the PGA in Ireland Pro-Am circuit.
As part of the agreement, Elavon will sponsor the PGA in Ireland Order of Merit with the season long race concluding at an Elavon end of season finale event.
Manager of the PGA in Ireland, Conor Dillon said: "We are delighted to partner with such a respected brand as Elavon, which will help elevate our schedule and also improve the experience for all golfers participating in PGA Pro-Ams in 2024 and beyond.
“I would like to recognise Declan Lynch and Orla McGuinness at Elavon for sharing our vision to enhance PGA events.
"The end of season finale will be a new feature in 2024 and will mean players get invited to a smaller pro-am where the Order of Merit winner will be crowned.
“Elavon will sponsor the event and present the trophy to the winner. It's great for the players and will finish off the season in a fantastic manner."
Commenting on the sponsorship, Declan Lynch, CEO of Elavon said: "The growth of golf in Ireland in recent years has been fantastic to see, as has been the international appeal of Ireland as a golf destination.
“Elavon is pleased to partner with the PGA in Ireland to ensure the continued success of the game at all levels here."
The sponsorship will see Elavon branding on the PGA in Ireland tournament vehicle and across all PGA in Ireland communications and includes all tournaments held in the Republic of Ireland.
"Elavon wants to be involved with and support Irish golf so this partnership with the PGA in Ireland is an ideal fit," continued Dillon.
The two-year agreement with Elavon will allow the PGA in Ireland to further invest in the tournament schedule which will include building on a steady increase in prize funds but also ensuring the preservation of some smaller, traditional events on the calendar.
