Stackstown outsources maintenance to Carr Golf
Stackstown Golf Club has signed a multi-year golf course maintenance contract with Carr Golf and joined Rathsallagh as the latest club on the books of the maintenance provider alongside the likes of Edmondstown and Foxrock.
Founded in 1976 as the golf club of An Garda Síochána, Stackstown nestles in the foothills of the Dublin Mountains, offering panoramic views across Dublin Bay and the city.
In 2011, the club opened the Harrington Room, showcasing Pádraig Harrington’s career and tour mementoes.
Aindriu Jackson, Regional Superintendent at Carr Golf, will work with Stackstown Course Superintendent Ed Mulligan and his experienced team to execute an agronomic plan “designed to consistently exceed member and visitor expectations”, Carr Golf said.
Ed Pettit, Managing Director, Maintenance Division at Carr Golf said: “The mature course feels like an oasis, with jaw-dropping views across Dublin. The wildlife and biodiversity on the site are wonderful. Our primary objective is to work closely with Ed and his team to enhance the playing condition and experience of members. We look forward to working constructively with the Management Committee to deliver on our common objectives.”
Stackstown Golf Club Chairperson Eugene Banks commented, “The club is delighted with this development. Over the last few years, we have engaged in a programme to upgrade and replace our course machinery. The deal with Carr Golf continues this investment in our golf course and our staff, to ensure Stackstown remains a great place to play golf.”
