Alps Tour — Ballyliffin's Brendan McCarroll is just two shots off the lead heading into the final round of the weather-delayed Peugeot Open at Club de Campo in Madrid.

The Derry man added a three under 68 to his opening 66 to share second spot with England's Tom Shadbolt on eight under, two behind local player Alvaro Salto. Live scoring

“I didn't drop any shots, which is kind of miracle for me," McCarroll said. "As I am struggling with my long game, I played safe. That is quite unusual for me but it seemed to be efficient.”

Brian Casey is tied 29th on level par after rounds of 70 and 72 but Simon Ward shot 75-79 to miss the cut by 11 strokes.

Challenge Tour — Ruaidhri McGee got his warm up for the Irish Open off to an average start at St Omer with a two over 73 at the Najeti Hotels et Golfs Open at Aa St Omer.

As Julien Guerrier finished with a flourish en route to a six under par 65 to go three clear of a five-strong chasing pack, McGee had five bogeys and three birdie fours in his round to end the day tied with Gareth Shaw on two over. Live scoring

“I'm very happy with how I played today,” said Guerrier, the son of a former professional footballer. “The start of my season has not been good apart from a third place in Madeira. I’ve missed a few cuts and I don’t usually miss many cuts."

A trio of Scots and a pair of Englishmen lay three shots off the pace heading into Round Two as Scott Henry, David Law and Duncan Stewart of Scotland all signed for three under par rounds of 68 to share second place, alongside Australian-born Englishman Daniel Gaunt and compatriot Chris Hanson.

Europro Tour — Stephen Grant and David Rawluk were the only Irish players to make the cut in the FSC Invitational at The Astbury.

Grant (68-68) and Rawluk (67-69) are tied for 11th ahead of today's final round, five shots behind leaders Lloyd Saltman  and James Maw on four under. Live scoring

Mick McGeady (71-69) missed the cut by one with Tim Rice (70-71) two outside on one over with Paul Cutler (75-69), Rick Weldon (76-72) and Matt McAlpin (77-72) also missing out.

eGolf Pro Tour — Seamus Power shot rounds of 69 and 68 to lie four off the pace heading into the final two rounds of the Forest Oaks Classic.

A seven under, he's tied for 16th behind Garland Green, David Watkins and Matthew Ryan. Live scoring

Power leads the eGolf Pro Tour's money list thanks a win and a string of top-10 finishes this year.
