O’Hara shot a sparkling 65 and Fisher a 68 to lead by two shots on 10 under from Sweden’s Mikael Lundberg (72), India’s Gaganjeet Bhullar (64) and England’s Gary Boyd (70).

McGrane is tied for sixth with Spain’s Jose Manuel Lara (73) and Scotland’s David Drysdale (69) with Paul McGinley the next best of the Irish, five off the pace on five under after a 71.

It was a disappointing third day for the rest of the Irish as Shane Lowry shot a 75 and first round leader Peter Lawrie a 74 to fall back to one-under.

Simon Thornton shot a 76 to slip to four over.
